How do I play?
Find words by
connecting letters up, down, left, right and diagonally.
Longer words are worth more points!
Tap the
word count
to see how many words are left and how long they are.
When your progress bar reaches the first star, letters on the board
will show a number — how many words start with that square.
Reach the star after that for another new trick!
Squaredle, like Scrabble, doesn't accept capitalized or
hyphenated words.
When does the next puzzle come out?
New puzzles come out each day at
3am Pacific.
Monday puzzles are the easiest; Fridays are the hardest. Saturday and
Sunday puzzles tend to have fun twists.
Stuck? Try rotating the board with the rotate
icon.
Can I use a physical keyboard?
Yes! Type out the letters, then press <
Enter> to
submit the word. Use <Backspace> to delete a letter.
What's with the score?
Longer words are worth more points. Most puzzles have a word at least
8 letters long.
The globe icon represents the average of everyone's score today. Try
to beat it!
What's a bonus word?
Slang and obscure/archaic words are "bonus" words—they're
not part of your score, but they show up as "+1" next to the word
count. The leaderboard sorts by score, then word count, then bonus
word count.
